You are invited to participate in an online survey on questions related to digital contact tracing apps. This is a research project being conducted by Yaling Yang (faculty at Virginia Tech) and Xiang Cheng and Hanchao Yang (students at Virginia Tech). The study should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲?
The goal of this study is to gain your opinion about digital contact tracing apps. This research will help us understand user perceptions on usages of digital contact tracing apps and produce design guidelines for futuristic contact tracing app that can be well acceptable by the general public.

𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The following is more detailed information about this study in addition to the information listed above.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐝?
We plan to include about 100 people in this research study.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐟 𝐈 𝐬𝐚𝐲 𝐲𝐞𝐬, 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡?
You will become a participant in this research. You will be invited to complete an online survey, which will take no longer than 15 minutes.

We do not collect identifying information such as names or IP addresses, and your responses to this survey will remain confidential.We cannot promise complete confidentiality. Organizations that may inspect and copy your information include the IRB, Human Research Protection Program, and other authorized representatives of Virginia Tech.
Your information or samples that are collected as part of this research will not be used or distributed for future research studies, even if all of your identifiers are removed.
The results of this research study may be presented in summary form at conferences, in presentations, reports to the sponsor, academic papers, and as part of a thesis/dissertation.
