Mary Alice Downey Scholarship Application

Use this form to apply for the POPYC Mary Alice Downey Scholarship. The scholarship is open to direct relatives of current POPYC members who have been accepted to or are currently attending a four year college, community college, or a post-secondary technical school.

Instructions / Rules

  1. To apply, you must be a direct relative of a current POPYC member.

  2. You can receive the full $1000 scholarship only one time.

  3. Answer every question on the application.

  4. If you are a high school student, email or text a picture of your acceptance letter to the college or technical school you will be attending to Kelly Svendsen-Hurley (contact info is below).

  5. The winner will be expected to attend the POPYC Blessing of the Fleet ceremony in July.

  6. Applications for the must be submitted by June 15 for that year's scholarship.
