Jones Elementary PreK & New Kinder Enrollment
Dear Parent or Guardian,
It's A GREAT DAY to be a LONGHORN! I am sure you have so many emotions about enrolling your child into PreK or Kindergarten, but we hope the most prevalent is EXCITEMENT! 
This form is your FIRST STEP of THREE to complete enrollment for your child. Once this form is submitted and time stamped, your student's birthdate and district address will be confirmed.
*STUDENTS requiring an OUT OF DISTRICT transfer should not complete a Pre-Enrollment form. You will get confirmation in June and THEN will move on to step two:

(Step Two) Within a week of you completing this form, you will get an email confirming your child's spot as "reserved."
PARENTS THAT DO NOT HAVE A CURRENT WENGAGE LOGIN: (No other students attending JPS)
 you will receive 2 separate emails, and the following must be completed with in 14 days:
1. WENGAGE EMAIL -  asking for you to set up a WENGAGE  ACCOUNT by clicking a link and having an ACCESS CODE. This link is ONLY valid for a short period of time.
2. ENROLL4JES@gmail.com EMAIL - giving you the login and access code to set up the Wengage account.
***Write Down and Save this Login and Password because you will need it for STEP THREE in JULY!***

PARENTS WITH A WENGAGE LOGIN:
You will enroll your PK/KND student in July through the GUARDIAN PORTAL by clicking "New Student."


(Step Three) In JULY, we will open up our ONLINE ENROLLMENT for all JPS Students. This is posted on our multiple apps/sites/social media outlets (JONES ELEMENTARY Facebook, district website, and Jones App.) Please join or download them to receive updates and information. You will have to complete the NEW STUDENT enrollment under the GUARDIAN PORTAL to FINALIZE ENROLLMENT. If you do not complete the final step by Friday, Aug. 12th the school will assume your child will not be attending and a family on the wait list will be contacted.
You will be required to UPLOAD the following items:
- Birth Certificate
- Up to Date Shot Record
- Proof of Residency
        *JUNE/JULY/AUG Electric or Utility Bill in Legal Guardian's Name (service address must be listed on bill)*
                                                                                 OR
       *Notarized Affidavit of Residency - 1 Bill for Homeowner - 2 Bills from Resident listing address

FINALLY-
We hope to host Meet the Teacher Night along with a mandatory PreK & Kindergarten Meeting for parents/guardians at JES before the 1st Day of School, however with the construction process going on, it will be a day-to-day plan, please watch our communication for these dates.

We are excited for your student's educational journey to begin and look forward to serving your family throughout your years here at Jones Elementary.

Prerequisites for Enrollment
*Parent is required to complete all above Enrollment Steps and provide required documentation to JES before August deadline.
1. Student must be a Legal Resident of Jones Public School District
     *Provide legal documentation, if needed, to determine legal guardianship of student.
2. Student must be 4 years old on or before September 1st
3. Student must be fully potty-trained prior to attending school  - Diapers/Pull Ups are not permitted without medical documentation.
4. Student must abide by attendance and tardy policy: maintaining 90% of days attended throughout the school year or can be withdrawn by school administration.
