ACPA CGDSD Webinar Application
Do you have a passion topic/project you’d like to present? Do you want to share your recent research or findings? Do you have a program or best practice you’d like to highlight?

The ACPA Commission for Global Dimensions of Student Development Webinar Series is now open for online submissions from the community to promote professional development opportunities and to connect like-minded educators around the world! In recognizing that each and every one of us has so many unique experiences and wisdom to share, we want to provide a space for people to share their expertise and to host their own webinars.

There are two types of webinars we are featuring:

Scholarly Webinar: focuses on the research and scholarship
Program Webinar: highlights specific programs, best practices, special features, or professional development

Webinar format:
The webinar will be free for ACPA members and $10 for non-ACPA members.
The webinar content should be 45-60 minutes in length.
The webinar will be delivered using the Go2Meeting platform (Specific instructions will be shared with the presenter closer to the webinar date).
The proposed date and time for the webinar needs to be at least 45 days into the future. This is so we can inform our organization in time to secure meeting time, marketing materials, while also leave some room for approval and content adjustment.
Members of the Education Program Committee will be reviewing applications and coordinating webinars as they get approved, and the presenters will need to prepare presentation materials on their own.

Webinar Content and Learning Outcomes
The Commission for Global Dimensions of Student Development brings together ACPA members from all functional areas interested in cross-cultural learning, development of intercultural competencies, internationalization, and student services around the world. Our Commission creates and distributes educational resources on a variety of global topics including: 1) supporting international students, scholars, and faculty members, 2) supporting study abroad and international service-learning, 3) fostering the development of intercultural competencies, 4) exploring student services around the world, and 5) discussing the role of student affairs in internationalization efforts.
