Session 1 - UNORTHODOX BOUQUET
Dates: June 8, 10, 11
Van Gogh's painting of Sunflowers is perhaps the most famous image that comes to mind, but take a closer look at the sunflowers — notice anything different about his sunflowers? In this week's workshop, participants will make an unorthodox bouquet.
Session 2: STORY OF MY AVATAR
Dates: June 15, 17, 18
You'll first notice a series of Van Gogh's self-portraits when you enter the exhibition. Why do so many artists make self-portraits? What does it do beyond representing our facial features? In this week's workshop, participants will use Van Gogh's rapid and short brushstrokes to create their avatars.
Session 3 - VIEW FROM MY WINDOW
Dates: June 22, 24
One of the scenes in the Van Gogh Immersive Experience is Starry Starry Night, a painting Van Gogh made when he was in the asylum. In this week's workshop, participants will recall their experience during the circuit breaker and use clay relief to recreate the view from their window.
