Young Publishers Mentoring Project
“If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.” In 1993, Toni Morrison became the first Black woman to win the Nobel Prize for Literature.

Pierce Press and Independent Publishers of New England are designing an online mentoring program for emerging young BIPOC publishers (ages 18-26). The initiative will focus on access to the publishing process - so actually how to get a book an ISBN number and how to get it edited, designed, printed or converted to an e-book, and distributed. We won't tell young authors how to write it, but we will guide them on the nuts and bolts of book production and marketing!
