                                            2022-2023 Modified School Calendar Feedback

Like many school districts across the state and country, Allendale County School District is exploring the idea of a modified academic school calendar for 2022-2023.  We solicit your feedback and welcome your thoughts.  Both a traditional calendar and a modified calendar will consist of 180 days for students to attend school and teachers working 190 days, which meets the requirements of the state statue and law.  
After meeting with districts who are currently using a modified calendar, they support the notion that  a modified calendar allows for additional breaks during the school year to help balance time in school, minimizes absenteeism, and reduces burnout for  both students and staff. After each nine weeks, there will be a two-week break for students and staff with three days of intercession built in for additional academic support and enrichment.
