WHO: Any youth in grades 9 through one year past high school are invited to apply to become East Central Region 4-H Camp Regional 4-H Camp Counselors. (Youth Counselors must have completed 9th grade at the time of summer camp).
WHAT: Make friends, grow in leadership, and have fun at summer camp as a 4-H camp counselor! East Central 4-H Camp is seeking high school youth to serve as counselors at this summer’s camp. We’d LOVE to have you on the team!
WHEN & WHERE: Camp will take place from June 24-26 at Timber Bay Camp & Retreat Center, 18955 Woodland Road, Onamia, MN.
Our in person training dates will be scheduled with chosen counselors to work with all schedules.

- June 23-24 (on site camp preparation at Timber Bay)
WHY: Counselors are the heart of summer camp! Camp counselors provide active, hands-on, fun and cooperative outdoor programming, lead cabin activities, and supervise all aspects of the campers’ day. Being a camp counselor gives you valuable life skills that you can use in your county or even a future job! As an added bonus, counselors also have a lot of fun and gain lifelong friendships!
HOW: We have an updated application format this year. Read the directions on this information sheet and do not hesitate to ask questions!
To Apply:
Active 4-H Enrollment required to be a camp counselor. Youth may enroll in 4-H through 4-HOnline

We will contact you for an interview the week following the deadline. Watch your email.
We ask that all applicants plan to attend all trainings, if an unforeseen or unavoidable conflict arises, please discuss this with one of the staff counselor coordinators prior to the training date.
Counselor acceptance letters will be sent one week after your interview.
