Mr. Nick is running the ski and snowboard club at ArtSpace again this year! This year the program will continue to run on Fridays. Families and friends will have the opportunity to stay later and not worry about getting to school the next day! This program will help build a love for the outdoors in Western North Carolina as well as build camaraderie among our students and families. K– 8th-grade students are invited to participate. K - 5th-grade students require a parent or designated chaperone at a 1 to 3 ratio. Students will be transported by a parent (or his or her designee). The number of students a chaperone of grade 6th – 8th will be responsible for is dependent on the number of students they are able to transport. Chaperones of K – 5th-grade students should discern ability levels of the students they transport through communication with parents. For example, a chaperone should drive students who all are beginners and will be taking lessons. This facilitates proper supervision. A single chaperone should not try to supervise an advanced student who wants to go on the entire mountain as well as a beginner. If we do not have enough parent volunteers, we cannot run this club. Please consider being a volunteer.
We will have an informational meeting for everyone participating on THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7th, 5-7PM in THE SCHOOL'S THEATER. This will be a fun gathering! Potluck, Gear Swap, Drawing, videos and more! NEW PARENTS must attend this meeting or arrange to speak to Mr. Nick for their child to be a part of the ski club. We recommend returning families join us for the kick-off meeting to make carpool and chaperone arrangements easier for everyone involved.

I will be in the Group Lodge approximately 45 minutes after arrival time, please try to be there within that time frame. If you cannot make it within that time frame, text me on the mountain(828-808-7511) and I will meet you at the orange fence to deliver your tickets. In your text, please include your name and what you are wearing so I can find you!
Pricing: Pricing is the same for students and chaperones. All money is due to ArtSpace by December 13, 2019.

Lift Tickets and 6 Lessons-$205, Lessons are for 8 years old and up. Lessons are progressive meaning each lesson builds on the previous lesson, please commit to all 6 weeks of lessons, lessons are non-transferable.

If you sign up for lessons, we ask that you do go to the lessons. It is very hard for Cataloochee to have Instructors there, and then not have students available to teach.
You may use this form for up to 6 participants. For your convenience and to cut down on paperwork for the ArtSpace business office there is a link in the form to pay using PayPal. If you are unable to make full payment at the time of registration please make a note of that in the payment section of the form and contact our business manager Esteve Coll-Larrosa.
