Dear Fantastic 5th grade families! We have big SURPRISE plans for our unique 5th grade Capstone Activities and Celebration. Our goal is to honor Burns Park's traditions even though we can't all be together at our school. Our dedicated committee has worked hard to think outside the box and come up with three days of events.
WE WANT THIS TO BE A FANTASTIC SURPRISE FOR OUR GRADUATES...SO, MUMS THE WORD!
In order to pull this off remotely we need information from you, our wonderful parents. Please review all of the information in this form and please provide the requested information and photographs by filling out the form below BY FRIDAY, APRIL 24, 2020.

Certainly planning and coordinating events is difficult right now and we are researching potential vendors and timing issues. As of now, we hope that the events will include the following...more information as to each will be coming out to you shortly:
SERVICE PROJECT:
- Letters of Gratitude Writing Campaign - the fifth grade teachers as part of their curriculum will be reaching out to your graduates with a request to write virtual "letters" to those members of our community (medical professionals, grocery store workers, mail delivery people, etc.) that have been working tirelessly to allow the rest of us to stay home and stay safe. These "letters" will take the form of google slides that will be printed and delivered to the recipients by our committee members. More to come on this from our amazing 5th grade teaching team!
DAY BEFORE GRADUATION: June 11th
- Delivery of the traditional graduation breakfast via a basket to each student's private residence
- Delivery of personalized custom yard sign for each graduate to their private residence
- Video conference for all graduates to jointly watch the Graduation Slideshow
- Virtual Fun Day - games or other activities that our graduates can enjoy together
GRADUATION DAY: June 12th
- Delivery of the following items in personalized gift box to each student's private residence:
- T-Shirt
- Class of 2020 Memory Book
- Diploma
- Program
- Invitation to the virtual graduation ceremony
- Video conference for all graduates for a virtual graduation ceremony
