Soulful SafeSpace Sundays
Soulful SafeSpace Sundays is an opportunity for artists of color to build trust through healthy and mindful exchanges of sharing art. Meditation, literature, and discussion will be used as tools for support and empowerment through the sharing of our creative processes. As Black artists working and thriving in the midwest, we found it necessary to decolonize the experience of talking about art.
Soulful SafeSpace Sundays is for Black, Brown and Indigenous artists to feel safe and rooted by community - surrounded by our people, our culture, our nuances, and our stories. This is an opportunity to acknowledge the power of our voice, body, and work as we create a safespace for us and by us.
This space is reserved for BIPOC artists only and if you do not self identify as so, we encourage you to visit our website at StrangeFruitFemmes.com and find another program that you can participate in.
