Submit one application per family due no later than Friday, Nov 10!
Applications must be submitted by a medical social worker to be considered for our December Adopt-A-Family Program. Please refer families burdened with childhood cancer either financially or emotionally.
Each family will receive gifts from their children's wish lists. Only include patient & siblings living within the home. Please provide 2-3 gift ideas that cost no more than $75 for each child. If a family is in great need, please also list a NEED gift and we will try to provide 1 need and 1 want gift for these kiddos.
Please be specific when listing the children's gift ideas (under $75) and provide a store or Amazon link when possible. This helps our donors find the perfect gift/s for each child. If gifts are less than $75, the kids will receive more than 1 gift each. We try to keep # of gifts even within a family.
Most of our donors will purchase gifts online and ship them to their family using Amazon, Target, etc. so parents can wrap their own children's gifts. A few of our generous donors love to deliver to their adopted family if they live nearby the donor. We will contact these families to make arrangements for a porch delivery to keep the family safe. All home deliveries and online shipments will arrive by mid-Dec. For online shipments, our donors will let the parent know what they are shipping for each child. Please inform parents to be on the lookout for these gifts so they know it is coming from Megan's Wings Adopt a Family Program!
Additionally, families will receive a $300 check mailed to their home from Megan's Wings to help with gas and food costs. This is part of their care package from their donor.
