2023-2024 Private Lesson Enrollment Form
WHY ARE WE DOING A PRIVATE LESSON ENROLLMENT FORM?
Simply put, this helps us stay organized to better track lesson enrollment data!  When we have a complete look at who is enrolled in private lessons, it gives us the opportunity to better take care of our students.  This helps us make sure that students who wish to take lessons are given the chance to take lessons, helps us hire more teachers if a particular instrument group has especially high enrollment, and helps us make sure that students enrolled in lessons are receiving the best possible private lesson education.  The information shared in this sheet will only be used by the band staff and your child's private lesson teacher and will not be shared anywhere else.

ABOUT PRIVATE LESSONS
-Private lessons are a once weekly session.
-Lessons are one half of the class period.  Students can also opt to take a full class period lesson.
-Lessons are $25 per half-hour lessons or $23 per 22 minute lessons.
-Lessons are NOT a tutoring service for students who do not practice.
-Lessons ARE a personal training session meant to help your child advance his or her musical ability.
-Students enrolled in private lessons are expected to practice each week and come to lessons prepared.
-All private lesson teachers have been vetted through the school district as highly qualified educators with degrees specific to your child's instrument.
-Often, private lesson teachers perform professionally on their instrument!  Students are highly encouraged to watch their private lesson teacher perform if the opportunity is available.

SCHOLARSHIPS
-There are limited partial scholarships available each year for families who cannot afford the full price.
-Please contact Ms. Taylor directly for information about how to enroll in the Private Lesson Scholarship program if you are in need of assistance.
