The intensive is daily from Monday August 19 through Friday, August 23, 2024. This is a great way to try out playing in a steel band, or a fun way to reconnect with friends if you're already in one of our bands! The difficulty level is aimed at less-experienced and beginners, but intermediate players can also participate to improve their skills.

After filling out and submitting the form, you will either be invoiced through PayPal (if you select that option) or you can send a check for the appropriate amount in the mail to us if that is your preference (or bring it with you to the first rehearsal).

All classes are limited to 24 participants. The location is the west wing of Edmonds Adventist Church, 8625 - 196th St SW, Edmonds, WA.

The youth class is limited to youth entering the 6th grade and older, but exceptions are made for youth entering the 5th grade with high musical interest and some musical experience.

The schedule:

Youth players meet 1:30 - 4 p.m. M–F, with an informal performance at 3:40 p.m. on Friday, August 11th. Each session involves three rehearsal periods and two short breaks: one just to move around a bit and clear our heads, and the other for a quick snack (children can bring their own snack; we will have oranges and cheese sticks on hand).
