At the WCRP Open Science Conference in Kigali,
PLOS Climate- a non-profit, Open Access journal for climate research- will be hosting an in-person workshop-style side event entitled
"Open Science and Peer Review- Towards a Stronger Evidence Base" (session WM05).
We will discuss some of the challenges and opportunities faced by climate researchers working in both academic and non-academic environments in relation to the adoption and utilisation of Open Science practices. Through a facilitated discussion covering pre-identified key themes, we aim to produce a collective roadmap for actions that can be taken to maximise the relevance and potential of Open Science to activity at the interfaces between climate research, policy and practice.
All are welcome to attend, but we especially encourage participation from early- and mid-career researchers, representatives of NGOs, commercial organisations, and government agencies.
This side event is scheduled to take place on
Monday 23rd October 2023 at
