Hello Parents!
Ms. Carter and the Fox SEL team are working to adopt the YMCA's Project Cornerstone curriculum in the classroom! Project Cornerstone is well established in the Bay Area and is funded by many important local organizations such as Sequoia Healthcare District and Sutter Health/PAMF. Topics will include, but not limited to: inclusion, diversity, tolerance, problem solving, respect, and conflict resolution.
Your role as a committed parent volunteer on the team will include:
Roughly 2 Hours/Month:
- One 30 min training per month (online or recorded)
- One 30-45 min session in a dedicated classroom to read a book and lead a discussion. You will work with the teacher directly to schedule.
- Prep time will be minimal but may be included as well.
- Supporting your fellow SEL Parent Volunteer Team members & helping us build up a strong team with a supportive culture.
- We are looking for a commitment for Sept '22-May '23.
- You can take more than 1 class!
If you are interested, even if you aren't committed yet, please fill out the form below. We will be back in touch shortly with more information. *No previous experience is required*
