Rivers of Life is a part of an exhibition series depicting the splendour of our rivers through vivid imaginations of young interns. Their work, intermeshed with generous contributions from civil society groups, come together to form a multi-layered narrative of the river.
Rivers of Life is an initiative of the Azim Premji University, first of a series that aims to depict nature in all its forms. School and college students from different corners of Bengaluru city can explore different sections within the exhibition. Sharing of snippets into the digital platform, of the photo exhibition as well as interactions with activists, researchers, folk artists, academics and storytellers is envisaged. An activity centre will engage young students on creating river stories.
The exhibition is intended to be a repository of information related to the conservation of rivers. Its outputs will be shared widely, and efforts made to showcase the exhibitions at different venues. It hopes to serve as an inspiration to those who seek to improve the state of our rivers and as a library for those who seek information on rivers.
