1. Have you taken any classes, or do you have any experience in methodology or essay structuring and planning/drafting? *
2. Do you have any experience in conducting research in English? How was it done (desk research / interview / focus group discussion)? What was the topic? Describe your experience in detail.  How long was the research period?  How many pages were the research?  Who was the supervisor of research? *
3. Explain how you would undertake a research project. Outline the key steps. *
4. Are you familiar with issues on any topics of the following; Civil Society, Democracy, Elections, Freedom of Expression, or Human Rights? Provide a short explanation of your understanding of these issues (5 lines). *
5. List the sources of information that you would use to conduct your research on Human Rights issues. *
6. What is your understanding of International law and its relation to Human Rights? *
7. How well do you know the region of Asia, in particular Southeast Asia?  List your travel experiences to the region, past research undertaken and your general knowledge of the primary political developments in Asia. *
8. List any news sources/media outlets that you read or watch on a regular basis. State the name of the news source and how often you access it. Name any news outlet that focuses on Asia. Why did you pick these sources for research? *
