NOTES FOR FILLING OUT THE PROJECT PROPOSAL

1. The full project proposal must be submitted at once.  If after clicking the submit button you are redirected to a confirmation page, we have received your proposal. If you do not see that page, we haven’t received your submission, so please try again.

2. Ideally agencies will submit project proposals a MINIMUM of 4-6 WEEKS prior to your project so we are able to staff and recruit volunteers for the project.

3. Please ensure your project utilizes at least 6-8 youth volunteers.

4. Our volunteer base is diverse and our projects must be inclusive as well, as we don’t want to exclude anyone from participating.

5. Because our volunteers are 12-18 years of age, they are unable to serve alcohol.

6. We don't allow our youth volunteers to volunteer later than 10pm.

Our volunteer base is diverse and our projects must be inclusive as well. We strive to include everyone, of all abilities, into our community. As such, if your facility or project has specific restrictions on who would be a good fit as a volunteer (must be able to reach a certain height, must have clear verbal communications, must be able to lift over a certain weight, etc.) please let us know so we can work with you to put proper accommodations in place.
Youth Central provides opportunities for youth completing community service hours (this is primarily through Calgary Youth Justice Society where youth are given a community-based alternative to court by completing volunteer hours, giving them a second chance). If you have concerns with youth completing community service hours volunteering for you at this project, please let us know here.
Please list the specific tasks to be completed by volunteers, including roles and the number of volunteers in each role (if possible). Be sure there are enough activities to keep the team of volunteers busy for the duration of the project. *
Will you be providing the volunteer with food and/or beverages? If so, please specify. If our volunteers have any dietary restrictions, are there accommodations for that or should they bring their own food in that case? *
Is there a dress code for this event? *
If not, our Youth Central volunteer will wear casual clothing and possibly a Youth Central t-shirt.
If you answered yes to the dress code, please specify the dress code here:
Please note that if an orientation takes place prior to the project, a Youth Central Team Leader (part time staff) will attend in lieu of volunteers. If you have an orientation, please list the date, time, and location. If there is no orientation but you'd like to set up a time to talk to the Team Leader assigned to your project, please let us know here. Otherwise a Team Leader will contact you approximately 1-2 weeks before the project to confirm the details.

We bring our own, but just in case.
