The School Council of Sir William Osler High School invites you to the "Self-Care through Mindfulness" Parent Share with Sue Hatton,
MSW & RSW.
Sue brings a passion for making mindfulness accessible for caregivers and their loved ones in the neurodevelopmental disability community. Sue brings 35+ years of experience in both formal mindfulness & rights and accessibility focused mindfulness training. Additionally, she has extensive experience with the developmental services agencies.
Sue works with the research team at the CAMH Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre and will share the benefits that caregivers find when practicing mindfulness. Sue works with a team researching mindfulness for caregivers.
This is a part of the "Self-empowerment: Personal Freedom and Belonging" project funded by Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC). Parental burnout ranked highest on our parent survey along with preparing for transition into adulthood . This parent share aims to equip parents with some self-care tools to help them embark on a journey to personal freedom and belonging.
