We know the writing market, so give your real rate. If you quote something unrealistic, we're gonna know you're either a newbie or don't actually want the job. We're not asking for your lowest rate here, just the avg REAL rate you charge clients.

The minimum you would accept for an assignment. We ask because most writers have a preferred rate and a minimum they will accept. We assume we'll pay you somewhere between your preferred and minimum rates, and knowing your range helps us give you more work because we know which clients can afford you. If your minimum rate is too high, though, we're not contacting you at all because nobody can afford you. So give your real minimum rate, because this is understanding when and if we can call on you as a writer. This is not being used for lowballing you on price.
