Outdoor Kids OT - Group Assistant Application 2023-2024
Thank you for your interest in working with us at OKOT to support children during our outdoor therapy groups!

We are currently hiring for a group assistant to work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality outdoor therapy group sessions for children ages 4-10. We typically work with children who have challenges in the areas of motor skills, social skills, mental health, or emotional regulation.

Group Assistant responsibilities include: greeting children and families, assisting the OT during group activities, and supporting individual children who need 1:1 support during group.

We currently need someone who is available for the following schedule for the 2023-2024 school year in Oakland at Joaquin Miller Park:

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 3:15-5:45pm
 
We have all holidays off and a month-long break for holidays in Dec-Jan. Additional summer hours working summer camps in 2023 are available, if desired.

Pay is $20-22/hour, depending on experience. Benefits for part-time hourly workers include: worker's comp insurance, social security and medicare taxes paid, state disability insurance (short-term disability and paid family leave eligibility), and paid sick leave per City of Berkeley code (1 hour earned per 30 hours worked).
