PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Any requests for bus service received after the due date of MAY 15, 2023 will be placed on a waiting list. After the route has been established we will then determine if there is room on the buses for those students on the waiting list.  If there is room on the bus, we will pull from the waiting list in this order - Students that are free/reduced lunch, farthest away in distance and by time the application was submitted.
- Bus passes will not be issued until payment is received.  There will be a $5.00 fee for replacement of lost bus passes during the school year.
- You must complete the online application if you want your student to receive transportation, even if your student rode the bus last year.
- If you are undecided about whether you need transportation for the 2023-2024 school year, please fill out the form anyway.  The bus routes cannot be changed to accommodate your student if you decide after the due date that you need bus transportation.
- Please complete a separate application for each student.  If a student needs a stop at more than his/her main residence please complete a separate application for the student at that address. The 2nd residence must be within the Webster Groves School District.
- Routing of buses will be completed based on the addresses of the students on the completed application forms.  Routing will be finalized by the end of June 2023.  
- Most route stops are established within 1 to 5 blocks from the home address.  There is no guarantee a route stop can be provided within this guideline.
- With few exceptions, students will be required to pay for transportation.  DO NOT PAY AT THIS TIME.  We will contact you about payment after we receive your application.
- Even if you received free transportation during the 2022-2023 school year, you will not be guaranteed free transportation this year.  Only those students that live 3.5 miles away from their school will be guaranteed free transportation for the 2023-2024 school year.  
- Review carefully the guidelines below for further information regarding students who may qualify for free transportation.

CRITERIA TO QUALIFY FOR FREE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES
The Webster Grove School District receives no Federal Reimbursement Funds for providing transportation services and very little State Transportation Funds are available for the 2023-2024 School Year.  There are two ways a student may qualify for free transportation services:
1) State law requires free transportation services to be provided for students living farther than 3.5 miles from their school.  There are only a few streets within the Webster Groves School District boundaries that are located farther than 3.5 miles from any of the schools in the school district.  The school district will verify if a student meets the criteria.
2) Students needing transportation but unable to purchase service due to a financial hardship may be provided free transportation according to the following three-part guidelines (All three guidelines must apply for a student to be considered for free transportation):
     A) Student must receive free lunch.
     B) Student must live more than 2.5 miles from their school.
     C) There must be available seats on the bus after all paid riders have been routed.  Those student living
          farthest from school will be assigned free transportation services first.
Student qualifying for free transportation under these criteria must complete the online application by MAY 15, 2023 to be considered for transportation services.
