NYC Dance Week is accepting nominations for its Dancer for a Day initiative. Do you know a deserving child or young teen who is facing a unique challenge in his/her life and would like the opportunity to dance, even if only for a day?

Dancer for a Day is a NYC Dance Week initiative that provides youth facing a unique challenge with the opportunity to experience a day in the life of a professional dancer. In its sixth year, Dancer for a Day will choose up to 20 youth, ages 7-18, to participate in a day filled with class taking, a nutritional workshop, and a private performance & Q&A with a dance company. With your help, we will grant scholarships to a few so that they can continue taking classes for the rest of the year.

We are proud to announce our partnership with Dancewave, making this opportunity for the youth even better!
