Payment & Terms

Please note:
Due to Covid-19 the school is currently offering teen classes online. Any switch to in-person learning will be made in good faith and with as much notice as reasonably practicable. The school has extensive resources for online learning. Specific schedules and procedures will be shared by the teen class coordinator (christiane.seydel@gspdx.org) or the other teacher(s).

- Registration is due by January 15th, 2021 at the latest.
- Minimum enrollment requirement of 5 students to offer class.
- Full payment required to guarantee enrollment.
- No refunds or discounts for late enrollment, early withdrawal or missed classes.

DSDI (6th graders welcome!)
Designed for those students in 7th and 8th grades with very good German language skills.
Prepares students to pass the written and oral components of the DSDI German language standardized test.
Students will be exposed to authentic online/virtual experiences and will be expected to do some homework.
Two year cycle: First year being less work, focusing on reading, presentations, building vocabulary; second year intense focus on writing, former tests to practice format.

DSDII
Geared towards high school students (grades 10-12) with advanced German speaking abilities. Ninth graders welcome once passed DSDI with very good results.
The course will prepare students for the written and oral components of the language entrance exams for German universities (DSDII), German Language Tests for College Admission of Foreign Students, and/or the American AP and/or AATG tests.
Features extremely small class size.
Students will be expected to participate in discussions, work actively in class, and do homework on a regular basis.
Two year cycle: First year being less work, focusing on reading, presentations, building vocabulary (Sternchenthemen); second year intense focus on writing, former tests to practice format.

Fees & Payment:
- DSDI + 6th grade class - $330 per semester (15 sessions)
- DSDII - $512 per semester (15 sessions)
