Medical Policy
Please
ensure that your child’s medical details are current and up to date and
that any specific medical needs are clearly communicated to Perceptive
Kids (e.g. allergy, anaphylaxis requirements, asthma management plan,
epilepsy management plan).
Should your child
need to carry any medical equipment (e.g. epi pen) with them, this
should be clearly labelled and communicated to the Perceptive Kids
practitioner/facilitator present.
In
circumstances where clinicians are required to administer medication on a
regular basis a separate medication authorization form is to be
completed.
Cancellation and Fee Policy
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and circumstances
may arise that necessitate a change in your scheduled group sessions. However,
please be aware of our cancellation policy:
Cancellation Notice: If you need to cancel the session, we kindly
ask for at least 48 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will
be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the 50% cost of the scheduled session.
No-Show Fee: For clients who do not attend without prior notice, will
be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to the full cost of the scheduled session.
Program Start and Finish Times
It
is expected that children arrive on time for the start of group
sessions or no more than 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. The
first 10 minutes of group sessions are critical, as all the children
settle into the program and structure.
Late
arrivals can cause disruption and distraction to the group dynamics,
potentially impacting on learning and behavior outcomes of all children.
Please
ensure that you arrive promptly at the end of the group session to
collect your child. It is not uncommon for different group programs to
run back-to-back requiring practitioners to pack up, set up, and write
clinical notes within a short time frame.
If
you will be late to drop off or collect your child please ensure that
you contact your practitioner or the office 04 06 003 194 as soon as
possible to ensure adequate arrangements are put in place. If you are
consistently late then late fees may be applied to cover the cost of the
waiting practitioner's time.
Media Policy
From
time-to-time children, attending group programs at Perceptive Kids will
be photographed or filmed for the purpose of educating and training
clinicians associated with Perceptive Kids. Some photos and/or films may
also be used in sessions as part of the group program curriculum. These
images will not be shared externally without your consent, unless
authorized or required by law.
Challenging and Anti-Social Behavior Policy
The
practice does not tolerate any anti-social behavior that puts
clinicians or children at risk of harm. Anti-social behavior includes
but is not limited to: written abuse, verbal or physical abuse,
threatening and aggressive behavior, deliberate property damage,
intimidation, or sexual harassment.
