2024 Making Maths Count Number Workshops with Marie Hirst and Dr Jo Knox.  
A series of practical online workshops via zoom designed for all teachers in years 0-8 including those who are new to the profession, returning after a career break, overseas-trained or teachers simply wishing to consolidate their practice. These practical workshops will develop content knowledge of the newly refreshed maths curriculum to support explicit teaching in the classroom. These workshops will focus on addition, subtraction and place value; multiplication and division; and rational numbers/fractions across different learning phases. Teachers can register for individual workshops or the complete series.

During each workshop  participants will;

  • unpack the scope and sequence of the focus number topic in the refreshed mathematics curriculum
  • explore practical explicit teaching activities and observe clips of teaching in action with a group of students
  • have access to useful teaching resources and practice activities to easily implement in your class

Delivery : online via zoom
Timing: 4 - 5.30pm
Cost : $90 + GST per workshop (a  'pay for 5 teachers and the 6th comes free' discount will be applied to schools registering 6 or more teachers for the same workshop - not split across multiple workshops).
