Altitude Academy Code of Conduct

Altitude Academy is committed to providing a learning environment where professionalism is the foundation for our core values. It is with these values in mind that each Altitude Academy student and staff must adhere to the following policies and practices.

Aviation is a challenging and exciting pursuit. The goal of every student and instructor at Altitude Academy is to treat every classroom and flight activity as an opportunity to better themselves and to be productive members of the aviation community. Safety and professionalism should not be delegated to others, it is your responsibility to uphold the strictest standards of performance and behavior. In every activity, that is what will ultimately be expected of you.

PARENT PERMISSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHING, RECORDING & VIDEOTAPING Throughout the year, there may be occasions when Altitude Academy personnel and/or area media will be photographing and/or videotaping classroom and other-related activities. These images (student photographs, video artwork, writing and other creative works) are frequently used in publications, sent to the local media for publishing or published on Altitude Academy website and managed social media sites on the Internet. If you prefer that your child NOT be photographed and/or videotaped, please complete the first section below. If you prefer that your child’s work NOT be published in local media or on the Internet, please complete the second section below.

This form is not required if you are giving parental consent for both scenarios.

Academic Integrity

During instruction at Altitude Academy the following academic violations will not be tolerated and are grounds for dismissal from the program:

Unauthorized use of phones and or electronic devices. These should not be used during instruction and/or activities that do not specifically require use. 

At all times students and staff of Altitude Academy will conduct themselves as professionals. Their actions while in class or training activities are a direct reflection on themselves

and Altitude Academy. 

Actions that will not be tolerated include:

Hazing or bullying by instructors, students or staff.

Unwanted physical or verbal advances, sexually explicit language or action, discriminatory behavior, offensive comments or any activity that detracts from the mission of Altitude Academy.

Be on time and properly prepared for all training evolutions.

Complete all required assignments on time and to the best of your ability.

All personnel will properly wear required uniforms during training events.

Awareness and adherence of local customs and social and moral behaviors is expected.

Tobacco products and alcohol will not be consumed or used 

Treat the areas used as though they were your own! Clean up after yourselves and heed any restrictions posted on the usage of food and drink throughout.
