Description: Complete the Milford Great Walk in 4 days/3 nights. Set out on a wilderness adventure along the Mildford track. Get incredible views, see gushing waterfalls and unique flora and fauna and cross MicKinnon Pass. There's a reason it's so popular!
Itinerary:
Thursday 24 October - fly Wellington to Queenstown on a group ticket, bus to Te Anau, stay the night.
Friday 25 October - boat from Te Anau to the start of the track (boat still to be booked). Easy walk to Clinton hut
Saturday 26 October - Walking from Clinton to Mintaro hut. 6 hours.
Sunday 27 October - Walk Mintaro to Dumpling Hut. This is the day going over Mickinnon pass. Side trip to Sutherland Falls
Monday 28 October - Walk from Dumpling Hut to Sandfly Point. 6 hours walking. Boat transport to Milford and bus transport out to Te Anau (to be booked). Long day.
Tuesday 29 October - Breakfast at cafe in Te Anau. Bus to Queenstown 11:30am (bus not yet booked). Flight back to Wellington: 16:05 Tuesday 29 October.

-Milford huts ($68 per night tbc x3 nights).
-Flights ($251 return if we can secure 10 people before group flight due date payment. Otherwise return flights will be at your own cost).
-Accommodation $80 each night ($160) TBC.

Please note, a $50 deposit for flights will be non-refundable. The number of spaces are contingent on obtaining DoC hut bookings when Great Walks bookings open.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Not suitable for a first club trip.
For safety purposes, you must have been on at least one overnight club trip before you can come on this walk. This helps us make sure you have an appropriate level of fitness and experience.
