Once again BASI Outside of the Box (OTB), Act. 2 has partnered with the Metropolitan Council for Educational Opportunity (METCO) to bring culturally-oriented performing, visual, or multi-media arts events to young people and schools in every METCO district. OTB founder Ted Cutler believed that the character of great cities is strengthened by exposure to the arts for all ages and backgrounds.
Through this partnership, we are excited to offer a mini-grant funding opportunity to our school districts for $250-$2000 to support or develop a culturally-oriented school performance or event. Virtual events are encouraged!
Due to the rich history of the METCO program and its mission to celebrate diversity, integration, and shared community, this grant will support districts in the development, preparation, and presentation of a performing arts program that will highlight these ideals.
