My Health Record (MHR) is a secure online summary of an individual’s health information. Over 90% of Australians have MHR, and healthcare providers authorised by their healthcare organisation can access MHR to view and add to their patients’ health information. It supplements existing health records with a high-value, shared source of patient information that can improve care planning and decision making.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting (Australia) has been engaged by the Australian Digital Health Agency to review the private specialist sector and develop an understanding of the key opportunities and barriers around driving further adoption of MHR.

The aim of this survey is to gain a better understanding of workflows within private practices and the attitudes of specialists and practice staff towards topics relevant to MHR.
