UCLR | Utah Coalition of La Raza is a civil rights advocacy organization with the mission to advocate for Utah's Latino communities, promote social justice, and build coalitions for the advancement of our families and our collective future.

UCLR hosts the Cesar Chavez Peace & Justice Awards Banquet to honor the inspiring legacy of Cesar Chavez and those individuals and organizations in our community who embody that legacy through their work, their advocacy, and their impact.

This form can be used to nominate an individual or organization for either the Cesar Chavez Peace & Justice Award or the Robert "Archie" Archuleta Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominations must be submitted through this form and are DUE by 5pm MST on Friday February 23, 2024.

Nomination Category *

UCLR considers the contributions of nominees across many different areas. We also introduced a Lifetime Achievement Award as a separate category. Please select an award category that would best fit your nominee. More than one may be selected.

Political Action / Grassroots Activism. For those persons/organizations who work through political or government systems to advance the interests of Hispanics/Latinos.

Social Justice & Culture. For those persons/organizations who work for social change through non-profits, community work or the arts.

Academics/Higher Education. For those persons/organizations in higher education whose works, whether advocacy or research, have helped advance the Hispanic/Latino community.

Education / Youth. For those persons/organizations who have worked with Hispanic/Latino children and students to shape the next generation of leaders.

Business & Labor. For those persons/organizations whose businesses, assistance to Hispanic/Latino entrepreneurs, or advocacy for workers' rights have helped advance the community.

The Robert "Archie" Archuleta Lifetime Achievement Award. For those who have devoted a significant portion of their life or made long-term impact for our community.
