The Iowa Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is dedicated to elevating IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, access) and justice within the dietetics profession. This applies to 1) increasing cultural and identity representation without Iowa's dietetic and student cohorts and 2) ensuring all Iowa's of all backgrounds have access to culturally-responsive nutrition care. The term 'identities' applies to historically underrepresented and underserved identities based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or lack thereof, age, disability, socioeconomic status, etc.
