ROTARY FLAG COMMITTEE

Description
The Rotary Parade of Flags Program is not only a special display of American pride, but also supports community, national, and international Rotary projects, as well as local community organizations like ours.  In the 7 years we have participated in this program we have earned almost $19,000 to support our operations and keep fees low.  Go to woosterrotaryflags.org to get a flag for your yard or to learn more about the program!

What’s required?
This is a multiple month commitment from May through November
You will be responsible for your own flag “route” which means you will put up and take down 15-20 flags in subscribers’ yards around Wooster, 4-5 times a year.
You must be able to meet the put-up / take-down schedules
It is critical you text Kelly that your route is complete for each put-up and take-down
You need to have reliable transportation and the ability to store your flags when not up.
You will be responsible for finding a substitute if you are out of town, etc.

If you are unable to meet these requirements we would ask that you please find another volunteer opportunity.




FIELD & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE

Description
The Wooster City Schools Groundskeepers help us by mowing our fields during the season, but there is work that needs to be done to maintain our fields and equipment.

What’s required?
Goal Painting, Stringing and Repair
Field Lining
Paint Purchase/Pickup
Coordinate Lost & Found
Keep Storage Shed Organized
Monitor field conditions (grass length, wetness, etc.) and send updates to Andrew
Unlock bathrooms (Dean Davis Building) for games





DERBY FUNDRAISER COMMITTEE

Description
WLC hosts a 4 hour Kentucky Derby/ Casino Night event @ St. Mary’s church Saturday May 2nd.
What’s required?
Set up/ Tear Down & assist the day prior if needed.
1-2 hour shift during the event at various stations.
Attend Committee meetings.
Obtain sponsors for the casino tables.
Sell and track horse & race sales.
Design a program for attendees.
Marketing
Ticket Sales




FAIR PARKING LOT COMMITTEE

Description
WLC will be manning a parking lot at East of Chicago Pizza during the Wayne County Fair

What’s required?
If you have the ability to work during business hours please sign up for this committee!
Recommend two adults and two kids per shift
Volunteer to create Sign-up Genius (online)
Putting up/taking down club flag daily
Put up/take down club banner at beginning/end of week
Wear WLC spirit wear/jersey




LACROSSE SUMMER CAMP COMMITTEE

Description
On Father's Day Weekend (June 20-21) WLC will be holding a youth lacrosse camp for rising 3-8 grade boys and girls.

Volunteers Needed For:
Creating Budget
Camp Director & Boys and Girls Coaches
Camper Check-in and Check-out
Flyer Design & Distribution
Food planning & purchasing
Food prep for Fathers’ Day Pancake Breakfast
Set-up and Tear-down
Organizing a fun non-lacrosse activity (swimming? ice skating?)
Photography
Camp Tee-shirt Design & Purchase
