Please fill out this form to nominate a teacher for the 2023-24 Teacher of the Year. This teacher will be recognized for next school year. You may nominate more than one teacher. Fill out a form for each nomination.
Nominations may be made by:
• Teachers/Counselors
• Administrators
• Parents/Students
• Classified Staff

Only CVM teachers will vote to select the final Teacher of the Year winner.

To the best of your knowledge, please nominate teachers who fit this criteria:

1. Have a minimum of eight years of classroom teaching, and are in their 9th year or more as a classroom teacher (please note: this does not include student teacher or intern teacher experience)
2. Is currently a classroom teacher;
3. Is not going into administrative positions the next school year;
4. Is not retiring next year;
5. Holds permanent status in SUHSD.

Knowledge and ability to comment on:

• Current issues and challenges that confront the educational community
• Specific programs, instructional strategies, or activities that benefit students
• Personal growth (education, professional development and experience)
• Commitment (work with colleagues, school activities, civic and community activities)
• Personal attributes (leadership, communication and involvement)
• Professional skills related to classroom instruction and professional growth of self and others

Self nominations are not considered. This form will not accept any more responses after Monday, December 5, 2022.
