Retreat Expectations *
Retreat is a requirement for Confirmation and is an important part of the Confirmation Formation process.  Because of this, we cannot allow individuals to come late, leave early, or leave in the middle because it will be disruptive to the large group, small group experience, and the experience of the other candidates on retreat.  If a candidate has a conflict or a problem committing to the entire retreat weekend, the candidate should make arrangements to attend another retreat.  The CF department has a list of approved alternative retreat options, but ultimately it is the family's responsibility to attend the alternative retreat.
Retreat Expectations *

Persons showing evidence of having or using, or associating themselves in proximity to such illegal substances should expect the following to occur: Local law enforcement will be contacted. If information is incomplete at the time of the church activity, the student and parent will be expected to cooperate with Catholic Formation Staff in an inquiry. The appropriate school contact will be made. A public note of apology to fellow participants, including church staff and adult leaders, as well as service hours to the church, will be required. To continue in any aspect of Catholic Formation, the student and parent will be required to attend parish-sponsored SAIL (Systematic Alcohol/Tobacco/Other Drug Intervention Linkage) sessions. The Starting Point of Ozaukee, Inc. operates these sessions. Catholic Formation intends to uphold the state statute regarding smoking: “It is illegal for persons under the age of 18 to possess any cigarette or tobacco product.” Wisconsin Act 95, Section 1.48.983 (2)(c).  Participants will not engage in any form of sexual activity or sexual harassment; Possess, or distribute pornography.  Females are never allowed in the male sleeping/dressing areas. Males are never allowed in the female sleeping/dressing areas. No one is to leave the sleeping area after lights out without the knowledge of an adult leader. No food/beverages in dorms. Turn lights off when leaving dorm. Gambling for any amount of money is not allowed.  If damage occurs and no one admits to it, charges will be issued to those in the area. Furthermore, to deter misbehavior and the use of illegal substances and weapons, Catholic Formation reserves the right to search any and all student property. I acknowledge that I have read and will abide by the rules and guidelines set forth.

Parents, we ask for your assistance to ensure that your teen is packing appropriately for this retreat and appreciate your vigilance for what your child is and is not packing for the weekend.

Cell Phone Policy *

We ask that students leave their cell phones at home.  If deemed necessary for a cell phone to travel with a student, we ask that it be turned into the Youth Ministers at the start of the retreat and will be given back at the end of the retreat or when deemed necessary.

Cell phones prevent us from being present in the moment.  Receiving constant status updates and texting with friends runs completely contrary to the purpose of going on retreat.  We recognize that this is not an easy thing to ask, but even with phone turned off or silenced it is a huge temptation that we want to help students avoid.  Additionally, it is a safe environment concern for students to have cell phones in their rooms.

Suggestions for the weekend... Give someone your snapchat password so you can keep your streaks. But leave your cell phone at home.  They will be confiscated if brought out at anytime.

We will be in a safe environment.  Your child will have access to a phone  if he or she needs to contact you.  If you need to get a message to your child or talk with him/her in the case of an emergency, you may contact

Kayla, Olivia or Meaghan can be reached during the weekend on the LC YM Cell Phone:  (262) 665-9119 or at the Soref Center (920) 994-4614
