The Rumriver Art Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We make every effort to make our programs accessible to the entire community. Funding is limited and scholarships are not guaranteed to all applicants. Please note our scholarship guidelines as set by the Rumriver Art Center Board of Directors

After carefully reviewing current obstacles and considering our mission statement, the board has come up with the following structure to use as a guide for granting partial scholarships:
* $1,000 will be allotted for scholarships per quarter: Q1 (January – March), Q2 (April – June), Q3 (July – September), Q4 (October – December)
* Any money amount left over from the previous quarter will roll over to the next quarter for that year
* 1 scholarship per person per quarter may be awarded
* Scholarships must be accepted by registering for the class within 2 weeks of being notified of being granted a scholarship. After that point, the scholarship will become invalid and you will need to apply again if you want to pursue a scholarship.
* Partial scholarships (in the amount of up to 50% of the class cost, varying by art medium) are available for classes only. We are not able to provide scholarships for class materials.
* We do not give out general scholarship funds. In order for us to review your scholarship application, you must be requesting a scholarship for a specific class.

Once your fully completed application has been processed it will be reviewed by our scholarship committee. We will inform you within 10 days of partial scholarship availability.

Partial Scholarships are given out based on financial need. The main criteria used to determine financial need is the Minnesota Department of Education Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Guidelines. This is only a guideline, not a requirement. Please fill out the scholarship application even if you do not fit into the following income guidelines.

Household Size of Two (2): Annual Income $30,451 or less
Household Size of Three (3): Annual Income $38,443 or less
Household Size of Four (4): Annual Income $46,435 or less
Household Size of Five (5): Annual Income $54,427 or less
Household Size of Six (6): Annual Income $62,419 or less
Household Size of Seven (7): Annual Income $70,411 or less
Household Size of Eight (8): Annual Income $78,403 or less
