By submitting this form, I commit to membership in Flushing Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) for the 2023 Summer-Fall Season and to the terms described below.
I understand at the core of CSA is the idea that members support their farmers by sharing in the inherent risks of agriculture (poor weather, drought, disease, early frost, crop failure and so on) and rewards (the bounty from a good season!) Therefore while the Norwich Meadows (
https://www.norwichmeadowsfarm.com/csa) farmers and its partner farms will act in good faith to provide fresh organic produce for the winter season, there is no guarantee of quantities or contents of shares. I understand that it is my responsibility to stay informed of CSA announcements through email or notices at the distribution site.
SHARE PICK-UP: I understand that share distribution occurs for twenty-two (22) pick-ups (mid-June - November) and that I am responsible for picking up my share at the Friends Meeting House located at 137-16 Northern Blvd, (across the street from Flushing Town Hall) Flushing, NY 11354. Distribution will be on Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm. Shares not picked up at the end of the pick-up window will be forfeited. Please note the pickup will be inside the Meeting House. The shares will be individually bagged. Face masks and social distancing are required, for COVID safety purposes.
VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT: I understand that this is a community project and I, or my representative, will volunteer a minimum of six (6) hours during the season to help Flushing CSA.
ADMINISTRATION FEE: An administrative fee of $15 is due to Flushing CSA, to help cover costs for our volunteer-run organization. This can be paid in person at the first pick-up (TBA mid June) in check, or cash.
Additional Add-ons and pricing: Norwich Meadows Farm hasn't announced additional offers besides Eggs and Fruit, but we will pass along that information once they do
