New Jersey Stars II Student Contract

Please read the terms and conditions listed below that are required to receive the NJStars II award at Rowan University. The NJStars II award will only be awarded and processed for students completing all areas of this contract.

Requirements/Guidelines for Obtaining the NJStars II Award:

1. Student must complete NJStars I at a NJ Community/County College prior to receiving NJStars II.

2. Student must submit a final Community/County College transcript.

a. Transcript must indicate the degree earned.

b. Transcript must display the graduation date.

c. Transcript must confirm at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA.

3. Student must be enrolled at Rowan University and maintain full-time enrollment (12+ credits) during fall and spring semesters.

4. Student must renew the FAFSA by the NJ HESAA filing deadline of April 15th each year.

5. Student must list Rowan University on the FAFSA to qualify for NJStars II.

a. Student may also need to update his/her state record at www.njfams.hesaa.org.

6. Student must begin the NJStars II program no later than the second semester immediately following Community/County College graduation.

7. Student must have a completed file with the Financial Aid Office and the NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA). NJStars II eligibility will be deemed incomplete until all required documents are received and processed.

a. Students selected for verification must submit all requested documents to the proper institution prior to all deadline dates.

b. Financial Aid awards will not be processed if documents are pending.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT VERIFICATION

Rowan University Verification Process: If you were selected for federal verification by the Central Processor upon completing your FAFSA, you will be required to provide documentation and completed forms to the Rowan University Financial Aid Office. All Rowan University forms can be processed online at https://go.rowan.edu/verify

The NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA): may also request additional documentation that can be processed at www.njfams.hesaa.org. If for any reason you cannot turn in the requested documents to HESAA, notify the Financial Aid Office ASAP.
