Conference Session Proposal
The Illinois Animal Welfare Federation is now accepting proposals for the 2025 Prairie States Animal Welfare Conference to be held June 1-3, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Bloomington/Normal, IL.

Proposals may be submitted for presentations on any aspect of animal welfare. Our attendees come from governmental agencies, private shelters, rescue groups, law enforcement, veterinary clinics, etc. Frequently requested topics are: field services (ACO) issues, cruelty investigations and prosecutions, rescue/foster based topics and resources, cat/dog behavior and handling, standard operating procedures in shelters, medical care, adoptions, trends and opportunities in animal welfare, working with placement partners, public relations and the media, breed recognition, board development, improving lost and found programs, community outreach and pet retention. Conference sessions are 75-minutes in length. Content should fill at least 60-minutes leaving 10-15 minutes for questions.
