Capital Improvement Funding for the California Citrus State Historic Park
When founded in 1993, the California Citrus State Historic Park was envisioned as a living outdoor historical museum that tells the far-reaching story of the citrus industry: the people, business, economic, and cultural impacts that transformed California in its early years to the present.
To properly showcase the extensive citrus history, the original General Plan for the Park includes facilities such as a workers' camp bunkhouse, a packing house, the Western Engine pump facility, residences of the period, and a bridge and pathway to connect all these features.
The Friends of California Citrus Park are pursuing State funding to complete the capital improvements planned for the Park. As such, the Friends are seeking to establish a broad coalition of regional support to secure this funding.
