Due to Covid, we are choosing not to hold a traditional Shoreland Music Festival in 2021.  Shoreland and the Music Department did not want to try to socially distance the more than 500 people that move through the building during the day of the festival, or clean and disinfect during and after the event.  Thank you for understanding these struggles.

However, the grade school band and string students are still going to have a VIRTUAL Shoreland Music Festival!
Students are going to prepare a solo or duet.  Then, Ms. Siegler or Mr. Wordell will make a video recording to send to our judges virtually.  We will be making these recordings during lessons in the first week of March, March 1-5.  The plan is to then have the judges watch each performance and send feedback to us within a few weeks.  We can then share that feedback with the students and award them their medals.

If your child is going to participate, Ms. Siegler and Mr. Wordell are asking you to fill out this form and submit it to them, so that they have permission to record your child’s solo.  Just like every other year, the judges used will be current or former music educators who are personally known by the instructors.  The videos will only be sent to the one judge and then deleted afterwards.  If you would like a copy of your child's performance, we can send
