Mums to School Day - Friday 7th June 2019
Dear Parent/Carer,
The aim of this day is for Mums, or a close relative, to have the chance to be involved in the learning of the children and see our school at work. While at school you will help the children make a card for Father’s Day. The Junior School's session will take place between 1.30pm and 3.00pm. Please complete the online form to let us know if you are able or not to attend.
We would also like to take this opportunity to let the children find out about the world of work using ‘Mum’s Show and Tell’. This is a chance for you to tell the children in your child’s class what you do at work. (This is not compulsory.) You could bring in some pictures and/or props to help the children to understand about your job. If you would like to Show and Tell then let us know using the reply slip below. We will hold these sessions in your child’s class at 2.30 pm.
During the Mum’s Day session tea, coffee, biscuits and more will be on sale in the School Hall in our special PTA café. The PTA Café will be open from 1.30 pm to 3.00 pm.
If Mum or a close relative are unable to come, please let us know so that we can ensure that all the children complete their card making activity with the support they need. If you have more than one child at the school you will be able to go between classes and help your children. Please complete online form or return reply slips via pupil mail by Tuesday 4th June 2018.
If children leave the classroom to visit the PTA Café, with a parent or close relative, the children must be supervised by that adult at all times. The supervising adult should return the children directly to the classroom after visiting the PTA café.
In order to keep your children safe, we will keep all gates locked except for the main entrance gate at Parsonage Road. Please enter the school at this entrance and sign in at the school office. Local residents and the school request that you refrain from parking in Parsonage Road. Thank you.
