Actin' Up Comedy Theatre is a dynamic 11-week session about all things comedy. Comedy is a dramatic performance that all actors must conquer. Therefore, each workshop in this session is designed to help participants find their dramatic voice through comedy, develop stage presence and crew knowledge, and improve acting as well as playwriting skills. Due to COVID, the final performance will be a short film  comedy performed by the troupe called, "The Messy Merry Musical" (no singing skills needed). All participants in the session will act in the performance which will be filmed in-person throughout the session; allowing for social distancing and limiting the number of participants gathering at one time. This is an awesome opportunity for participants to take their theatre skills to the next level!

TIMES & LOCATIONS

When: September 14, 2021 - December 4, 2021


Workshops are held virtually and in person.

VIRTUAL: Every Tuesday (5 pm – 6:30 pm) and Thursday (5 pm – 6 pm)

IN-PERSON: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month, times may vary between 2 pm - 5 pm. In-person locations vary between local parks and establishments in Charles County. In case of emergency, a parent/guardian must be present for each participant at all times during in-person sessions.

Virtual Parent Orientation: September 9, 2021, 6pm - 7pm.
