Preschool Groups
This program is designed for preschool facilities catering to children 2-5 years of age. This
program runs for 20-30 minutes. Group size may not exceed 25 in a single program. Children under the age of two are not permitted.
2 & 3 Year Olds: Action Animals! This interactive program is designed to get your students up and moving as they are introduced to the special abilities of some of the world’s most famous wild animals. Students will be encouraged to use their senses to explore animal biofacts (animal skins, bones, feathers, and more!) and make observations about the animals they belong to. To tie it all together, students will participate in a storybook reading connecting to the animals discussed in the program.
4 & 5 Year Olds: Amazing Animals! Discover the unique adaptations of animals that help them to survive in the wild! This interactive program gives students the opportunity to put their skills of scientific observation to the test as they investigate a selection of unique biofacts (animal skins, bones, feathers, and more!) to figure out how each animal uses them to eat, move, defend themselves, and so much more!
Animal Observers (Ages 5 and Up)
This program is designed for after school programs, Adventure clubs, summer camps, daycares, and other community childcare facilities catering to children five years of age and older. This program runs for 45 minutes. Group size may not exceed 60 in a single program. We can do 3 programs in a day.

Conservation Story
Time (Libraries Only)
This program is designed for libraries and is suitable for all ages. This program runs for 30
minutes. Group size may not exceed 125 individuals (children and adults) in a single program OR surpass the limit set by the facility’s fire code.
Come enjoy a conservation-themed story time led by an experienced Zoo Knoxville
educator. Zoo Knoxville will provide an animal story to read aloud to your group, followed by a discussion surrounding the conservation topic addressed in the story. Learn how anybody, children and adults alike, can contribute to conservation efforts in this fun and interactive program!
Adult Discoveries (Senior Facilities Only) (Available June-Feb)
This program is designed for senior adult audiences. The program runs for 30 minutes. Group size is limited to 35 participants in a single program. Groups outside of a 40 mile radius from the zoo must partner with a local school to coordinate same-day programming for both facilities. For more details on this email zoomobile@zooknoxville.org
This program consists of a visit from an experienced Zoo Knoxville educator who will
guide your participants on an adult-friendly exploration of animal adaptations.
Participants will learn how different adaptations allow different species to survive in the wild through a tactile exploration of biofacts (animal skins, bones, feathers, etc.) and discussion.
