The ESC of Medina County will provide a synchronous and interactive remote learning option for Oberlin K-8 students. Students will have the opportunity to continue online learning while remaining a student of their home district.
The enrollment process will include a parent/student compact that specifies:
- Adherence to a code of conduct;
- Technology capacity including a working contact phone number and consistent internet access;
- That the student is in good standing with the home school district; and
- A parent or other designated caregiver will serve as a Home Learning Coach and support the student to ensure access to the online learning sessions, assignments, supplemental materials, as well as, proctoring tests and quizzes.
The expectation is that students will remain enrolled in the online learning environment for the year; however, unique student circumstances will be reviewed by the home district and the ESC on an individual basis to determine if placement may change.
