SKYRACE PIKEY PEAK BY Columbia Sportswear Nepal

Race around the four iconic villages in Lower Solukhumbu, completing a loop that includes reaching the summit of the 'Queen of Hills,' Pikey Peak, at 13,336 feet. The race starts and ends at Phaplu Town. Also, introducing an entry-level trail race and fun run for beginners.

The first Skyrace in the stunningly beautiful lower Solukhumbu region of Nepal 

  • Finishing amongst 500 monks praying for peace at the Chiwong Gumba on 21st October
  • Delivered by Nepal Trail series, race director of the Kathmandu Trail Race Series by Trail Running Nepal, 4th Bhojpur trail race, 2019 Nepal trail series league races.
  • Mid-altitude trails with a view of the highest peaks in the world including Mt. Everest
  • Summit Pikey Peak at 4065m/ 13336 ft
  • 50K Race starts from Phaplu at 2413 m / 7918 ft. The course makes a loop taking you to 4 major scenic regions of lower Solu- Dudhkunda , Taksindu, Beni and Phaplu. 

Support a cause
  1. We want to give racing opportunities to as many locals as possible to encourage mountain running sports in Nepal- hence we have 10 sponsored entry for Elites, discounted special charges for students and low income runners.
  2. We want to create employment opportunities for the youths who come forward to support the event.
  3. Chiwong Gumba sanitation project, we will contribute 20% of the profits after payments to the Monastery to support their sanitation project whose main beneficiaries will be children and female monks.
