Olbrich After Hours - Call for Pop-up Performers
The Summer Concert Series is back with a fresh twist and new name - Olbrich After Hours! We’re open late! Enjoy an evening in the gardens with a rolling line-up of dynamic musicians, pop-up performances, and delectable food carts. Quench your thirst with a microbrew, summer cocktail, or mocktail. And connect with local organizations committed to conserving our environment. 

Olbrich After Hours is every Tuesday, from June 25-August 13, 6-9pm.

The 2024 musical line-up:
  • June 25 - Panchormatic Steel (Steeldrums/Caribbean)
  • July 2 - Driveway Thriftdwellers (Country/Americana)
  • July 9 - Leslie Demaso (Filipino Kundiman/Jazz)
  • July 16 - Searchlights (Post Rock/Japanese Taiko)
  • July 23 - The Earthlings (Psychedelic Rock)
  • July 30 - Ben Mulwana and The Village (Afro-Soul Rock)
  • August 6 - Mokoomba (Pan-African/Soukous/Funk/Reggae)
  • August 13 - Fresco Opera (Opera)
Olbrich After Hours is FREE to attend; a $5 suggested donation is appreciated to support the musicians and pop-up performers. Food and beverages are available for purchase. Carry-in picnics allowed; carry-in alcohol prohibited.

We are excited to call on local creatives (dancers, poets, comedians, actors, circus artists, etc.) to submit pop-up performance proposals for Olbrich After Hours! 

The pop-up performances may accompany the main concert as a short opening act, side element, cameo, or interlude. Ideas could include spoken word, dance lesson, flash mob, acrobatics, street theater, drum circles, giant puppetry, cultural celebrations, etc.

Proposals are encouraged to include diverse perspectives/identities, audience interaction, and/or nature-based themes.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is able to provide underwriting support.
