Firefly 2023: Work Weekend Signup

Thank you for signing up to attend a work weekend and help make Firefly 2023 happen, we can't wait to see you in the woods!

This form will be asking about certain skills or tools you may have and can bring to Work Weekends, but you do not need to have either in order to participate. We do have a limited supply of tools and gloves for general use. If you do bring your own tools / gear, please make sure to label it.

This year, there are three major work weekends. Here's some brief info on the key tasks for this year:
WW1: June 9-11
- Chainsawing, clearing paths from brush
- Inventorying tools and Firefly infrastructure
- Setting up and testing trail lights
- Setting up DPW structure
- Assist Bug & Temple build
- Re-build small wood bridge from Kirk's back-yard to field
WW2: June 16-18 (Placement Weekend)
- Lots of chainsawing, log splitting, wood chipping, stacking wood walls
- Clearing paths and general camping spots
- Moving chopped wood from woods to field for bug/temple use
- Assist Bug & Temple build

Note: folks who come to Placement Weekend to represent their camp or art project will be expected to put in a few hours of work before staking a claim on space.

WW3: June 23-25
- Setting up Rangers/First Aid structures
- Mowing & Raking hill, lower parking
- Assist Bug & Temple build
- Finish up leftover tasks from previous weekends

A follow up email will be sent with further information for volunteers - Work Weekend arrival times and recommendations for what to wear and bring with you.
