The Camp Manager is crucial in facilitating the JKSC experience by welcoming Campers, overseeing and encouraging Coaches, giving group talks, running group games, and--most importantly--assuring the safety and well-being of everyone who attends a camp.

Managers should have ample experience in working with (and managing) people. Many of our Managers have a background in Coaching, Athletic Training, high-level athletics, Nursing, or Education. We look for Managers who are incredibly resourceful and forward thinking, as well as being well-spoken, professional, punctual, and who possess warm and engaging personalities--as they are truly the "face" of our brand.

Managers should set the standard of camp expectations by operating at a high level throughout the day. They should be comfortable leading group talks, as well as comfortable talking with parents during drop-off and pick-up. We love Managers who are high energy, approachable, and fun!

As of 2023, Managers will be 1099 Independent Contractors. Our Manager rate will start at $1,000 per camp week (roughly 32 hours), though we reserve the right to provide bonuses or additional pay at our discretion. We will be contracting 3-4 Managers in the Portland-METRO area, one Manager in Camas/Vancouver, WA; Bend, OR; Eugene, OR; and Salem, OR; Danville/Concord, CA; Rocklin, CA; Arizona; Henderson, NV; and 2 Managers in Boise, ID

NEW & RETURNING: As of 2023, our Manager pay starts at $1,000/week. (32 hours roughly) We sometimes provide bonuses at our discretion, and some Managers will be paid more based on exemplary experience or special circumstances. Our Managers are 1099 independent contractors. Typical work week hours are Monday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, but occasionally Managers have to arrive earlier or stay later (such as a late camper pick-up).
